Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary
2023 marked the 70th anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms, the first true diver's watch. Divided into three acts, the celebrations gave rise to the creation of three timepieces. The first (Act 1), focused on the present, honours the contemporary Fifty Fathoms. The second (Act 2), focused on the future, introduced a useful innovation for technical diving. The third (Act 3) looks to the past and pays tribute to a coveted vintage model.
In 1953, Blancpain launched Fifty Fathoms, the first true diving watch. In 2003, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, a contemporary version was launched with a limited-edition three-part series of 50 timepieces each. This year, to mark its 70th anniversary, Blancpain is unveiling its first anniversary watch.
