A moon phase complication tracks the 29.5-day lunar cycle with a rotating disc beneath the dial, driven by a 59-tooth wheel. It blends function with poetry. Blancpain is renowned for refining this feature, combining precision, tradition, and elegance in every moonlit display.

A calendar complication uses a dedicated hand to point to the date, arranged around the dial’s edge. This peripheral scale, typically numbered 1–31, offers quick readability. It adds a classic, elegant touch to traditional timepieces.
