Two New Awards For Blancpain

For both its technical features and its aesthetics, the manufacture has been awarded the prize for the Best Sport Watch for its Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Chronographe Flyback. The magazine was particularly impressed by the new in-house movement that runs at a frequency of 36,000 beats per hour and which is equipped with a vertical clutch mechanism and column wheel for its chronograph mechanism; the usability of the chronograph to an underwater depth of 300 meters, thanks to sealed pushers; and the brushed black ceramic 43 mm diameter case. And since behind every timepiece one finds the work of passionate watchmakers, Vincent Beccia, Head of Product, received the prize as the Watchmaker of the Year, recognizing his inventiveness and creativity in pushing the boundaries of watchmaking.
