Portuguese chef Rui Paula joins Blancpain's circle of friends

Blancpain is pleased to welcome two Michelin-starred chef Rui Paula into its circle of culinary friends. A key figure in modern Portuguese gastronomy, the chef shares with Blancpain a refined authenticity. Chef Paula’s three restaurants all located in different regions, offer a unique gastronomic experience. His first establishment, DOC, nestled in the Douro wine valley, celebrates flavours in an exceptional setting. The DOP, located in the historic centre of Porto, in the Palácio das Artes, is a gastronomic mecca where colour and texture reign. Finally, the chef's third restaurant, called Casa de Chá da Boa Nova in Leça da Palmeira, is a doorway to the ocean, a world dear to Blancpain.

Blancpain was honoured to seal this new friendship at its Manufacture in Le Brassus, where its grand complication timepieces and unique Métiers d'Art watches are created. The chef had the opportunity to visit the Blancpain workshops and discover a selection of the Brand's most beautiful watches. It was an unforgettable experience for him: "I can say, without a doubt, that I am indeed a friend of the Brand, and that the watch I am wearing is extraordinary."
