Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal 2022: Blancpain presents the Mentor Chef Award to its friend Martín Berasategui
In December, Blancpain accompanied the Michelin Guide in its quest to find the best Iberian restaurants of 2022. During a special event held at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, many prizes and Michelin stars were presented to a wide selection of restaurants that emphasized the intensity and dynamism of the Spanish and Portuguese gastronomic scene. The Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal 2022 referenced 40 two-star restaurants and 11 three-star restaurants, which were already recommended with this distinction in 2021.
To crown the event, Blancpain was honored to award its friend Martín Berasategui with the Chef Mentor Prize. Originally from San Sebastián, Chef Berasategui whose restaurants total 12 Michelin stars has been showcasing his exceptional cooking talent for nearly 50 years. During his impressive career, he has trained multiple generations of chefs with whom he shared his culinary approach and his passion for his profession as well as all the values that this art represents.
