Fifty Fathoms exhibition in the South of France

This year Blancpain celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms, the world's first true diver's watch. Blancpain CEO between 1950 and 1980, and a passionate diver, Jean-Jacques Fiechter was a regular diver in Cannes. During a dive in this area, he suddenly ran out of air. With that experience forcefully teaching him the necessity of timing instrument for divers, Fiechter set about creating the first Fifty Fathoms. Dive into the history of the Fifty Fathoms through a photo exhibition on the Croisette, in Cannes, from September 11th until October 6th, 2023.
