Blancpain offers a wall clock to the winner of the "Young Chef Award" 2021 Korean edition

In 2020, Blancpain entered into a notable alliance with the highly esteemed Michelin Guide, celebrating the ties that have linked the Manufacture to the world of fine gastronomy for more than thirty years. Over the past months, this global partnership gave rise to some twenty events that praised haute cuisine and creativity all around the world, from Shanghai to Paris, through to New York, Tokyo or Seoul.

Famous for its culinary art bringing together delicate and diversified flavours, the Korean capital is home to many prestigious addresses, including the Evett restaurant. Run by chef Joseph Lidgerwood, this restaurant has earned its first Michelin star in 2020. In addition, the young chef received in November last year the "Young Chef Award" 2021. Supported by Blancpain, this award was recently presented to the winner, along with a Fifty Fathoms wall clock. These prizes underline the great talent of this 33-year-old chef, whose dishes ingeniously reinvent conventional Korean culinary recipes in the light of modern inspirations; a harmonious balance between tradition and innovation that chef Lidgerwood likes to compare with Blancpain's motto "Innovation is our Tradition".
