Blancpain inaugurates "blancpain shop-in-shop" in the lotte ginza store in tokyo

Founded in 1735, Blancpain remains the world's oldest watch brand in existence continuing to create exclusively Haute Horlogerie mechanical watches. On March 31st 2016, Blancpain inaugurated the brand's new shop-in-shop in the downtown airport-style Lotte Ginza duty-free store. The latter is located in “Tokyo Plaza Ginza”, the largest scale commercial facility in the Ginza district. The 4,400 sq.m. “Lotte Duty Free Ginza” is itself the largest duty-free store in Tokyo, accommodating more than 150 international brands and spread over two floors (8-9F), offering a whole new shopping experience for foreign and national visitors alike.

Installed on the 8th floor of the “Lotte Duty Free Store Ginza”, the new 25 sq.m. shop-in-shop represents the brand’s proud history and conveys its essence summed up in the expression “Innovation is our Tradition”. Crafted by a skilled cabinet-maker from the Vallée de Joux, the interior design is imbued with the regional heritage and the Blancpain horological know-how perpetuated for more than 270 years.

The wide range of products on display includes creations from the bold L-evolution Collection, legendary Fifty Fathoms Divers watches, as well as classic Villeret timepieces and the elegant Women Collection.

In-house development and production of the components and tools; manual assembly of each movement by a single watchmaker; refined and entirely hand-crafted finishing right the way through to the tiniest hidden details: Blancpain's strength lies in its ability to create timepieces that are both innovative and respectful of the noble Swiss watchmaking tradition.
