Blancpain hosts a unique “Art de Vivre” experience in collaboration with Michelin-starred Restaurant Sühring in Bangkok

On August 21, 2019, Blancpain welcomed selected guests to an exclusive fine dining experience, together with a private preview of the brand's 2019 models, at the two Michelin-starred Restaurant Sühring in Bangkok. Renowned for its revisited approach of traditional German gastronomy, this restaurant, also belonging to the Relais & Châteaux family, was recently awarded the number four spot in the 2019 Asia's 50 Best Restaurants ranking.

Held in celebration of Blancpain's passion and long-standing involvement in the "Art of Living" domain, this event highlighted the special ties that the Manufacture has been cultivating with the greatest chefs for over more than 30 years.

Blancpain Restaurant Sühring - cooking

The evening was opened by Mr. Kris Bhimayothin – Brand Manager of Blancpain Thailand – who first introduced the audience to the close connections between the worlds of haute horlogerie and haute cuisine, and in particular between Blancpain and the Art of Living. He underlined their shared attachment to fine craftsmanship, the importance placed on product quality, as well as respect for terroir and traditions. In addition, he demonstrated how these two arts share essential values, such as the same quest for excellence, expertise, a sure touch and true passion.

Also present for the occasion, Mr. Jalil El Kouch-Bordier – Blancpain’s Area Sales Manager – added that both Blancpain and Sühring have very similar visions and principles. Blancpain lives by its motto “Innovation is our Tradition”. The Manufacture is committed to creating timepieces that are always innovative and respectful of the Swiss fine watchmaking tradition, whereas Sühring’s culinary art boldly combines the essence of German traditional dishes with contemporary Central European influences.
