Blancpain celebrates gastronomic excellence with the Swiss Michelin Guide

On Monday 2 October, the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) was buzzing with excellence. The Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie and the famous gastronomic guide celebrated the awarding of new stars to Swiss establishments at the Michelin Guide Switzerland 2023 Ceremony. On this occasion, Blancpain had the pleasure of presenting the Young Chef Award to thirty-year-old twins Dominik Sato and Fabio Toffolon. At the helm of the kitchens of The Japanese Restaurant and The Japanese by The Chedi at Gütsch, both located in The Chedi Andermatt hotel, this duo helped the first restaurant to earn its second star. The second restaurant retains its first star.

United by passion, tradition and innovation, Blancpain and the Swiss Michelin Guide demonstrated their respective expertise following the ceremony, at a cocktail party during which a Blancpain watchmaker worked meticulously at his workbench, while a chef displayed his culinary talents. The day was completed by a gala dinner concocted by renowned chefs, whose stars testify to their unique character: Sven Wassmer (***), Stefan Heilemann (**), Cédric Bourassin (*), Julien Boutonnet and Marc Turcas. Served in six courses, the refined menu delighted the guests' taste buds, underlining the excellence that unites the Michelin Guide and Blancpain.
