Blancpain and the Michelin Guide reveal the name of the best young chef of 2022 in Thailand

As part of its association with the renowned Michelin Guide, Blancpain attended some twenty events in 2021 celebrating fine gastronomy from Paris to Tokyo, New York, Shanghai, and Bangkok. It was in the Thai capital where the last ceremony of the year took place to reveal the 2022 Michelin stars and prizes. On this occasion, Blancpain gave the prize of the Young Chef Award to Garima Arora. Born in Mumbai, the chef became the first Indian woman to receive a Michelin star in 2018. After having developed strong experience alongside leading names in international cuisine such as Gordon Ramsay, René Redzepi and Gaggan Anand, chef Arora opened her restaurant Gaa, which offers contemporary Indian flavors in traditional Thai premises. This marriage evokes Blancpain's tradition of innovation, a signature of the Maison, which is the world's oldest watch brand.

After restaurant Sühring, headed by the two-Michelin-starred duo Thomas and Mathias Sühring – who are part of Blancpain's circle of friends – Gaa is amongst the unmissable addresses on the Thai gastronomic scene.
