Blancpain and Fratello Watches gather around the Fifty Fathoms collection in Amsterdam

Joined by their passion for horology, Blancpain and the famous specialized blog, Fratello Watches, hosted a private event in the company of a distinguished community of connoisseurs. Through the course of an evening, the Tourbillon boutique in Amsterdam became the setting for meetings and discussions between collectors, bloggers and well-informed watch enthusiasts. All who came were present to discover an exclusive selection of timepieces from Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms collection.

Guests were personally welcomed by Arnaud Blandin – Brand Manager for France & Benelux – who guided them through the extraordinary history of the Fifty Fathoms, the first modern diving watch launched in 1953, known for its technical characteristics that have been influencing the watchmaking industry ever since. Among the original criteria that is still perpetuated today, are the traditional unidirectional rotating bezel with time markings, the large luminescent hands and indexes contrasting with a dark dial, as well as an antimagnetic protection. Guests had the opportunity to take a closer look at these characteristics, while discovering the new complications added to the Fifty Fathoms collection this year. The novelties include an annual calendar, a large date, a day/date indication, and a complete calendar with moon phases.
