Blancpain Teams Up with Rock Legend Eric Singer
A mythical musician from band KISS and a close friend of the Maison, Eric Singer visited Blancpain’s Manufacture in Le Brassus last January for a privileged moment.
Best known as the drummer of KISS and a major figure on the international rock scene, Eric Singer has always been driven by music and watches. Shaped by a career that has seen him share the stage with Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Lita Ford, Badlands, Brian May, Gary Moore, and his own band ESP, he has developed a natural instinct for pairing up with other creative forces. As a true watch geek, and collector, he boasts an impressive collection, amongst which 23 Blancpain watches – including several Fifty Fathoms – and has built a friendship with Blancpain President & CEO Marc A. Hayek, who shares his love for rock music.
In the below video interview, he opens up about his collaboration with Blancpain on the Grande Double Sonnerie, the Maison’s most complicated watch, which ushers in a new era in the art of chiming watches. He also shares his passion for the Maison’s artisanal craftsmanship, his relationship with Blanpain, and reflects on the common pursuit of high standards and excellence that drive both rock music and fine watchmaking.
