Blancpain recently welcomed collectors, media and VIP clients at the marvelous Baccarat Cristal Room Restaurant on Nikolskaya Street in Moscow for a private "Artistic Crafts and High Complications" event. Irina Koroleva, Blancpain Brand Manager for Russia, welcomed guests on behalf of the world's oldest watchmaking brand, emphasizing how passion, respect for tradition and constant innovation have been driving the work of Blancpain since its founding in 1735.

Specially flown-in for the event, a master-engraver from Blancpain's Métiers d'Art studios was present to demonstrate the range of designs and motifs applied to the watches' dials, movement bridges, wining rotors and case backs; a bespoke service offered to the future owners of these unique artworks. Following the exhibition tour, Marc Junod – Vice-President and Head of Sales at Blancpain – introduced guests to the world of "Métiers d’Art", by highlighting the brand's mastery in various art forms encompassing engraving, enamel painting, damascening as well as the Japanese techniques of Shakudō and Binchōtan. Stemming from ancestral traditions, each "Métiers d'Art" piece requires remarkable know-how and meticulous operations performed by a limited number of master-artisans, thus endowing each model with unique character. These one-of-a-kind creations are entirely designed and developed in Blancpain's Le Brassus workshops, housing the production of the brand’s Grand Complication models.
