Blancpain celebrates the 65th Anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms collection in Singapore

Hundreds of guests recently gathered to commemorate the anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms, the first modern diving watch, on Sentosa Island in Singapore.

Arriving at sunset, select media, VIPs, business partners, and watch collectors, were greeted with a bespoke ‘Blue Fathoms’ cocktail and a welcome speech by Ms. Emmy Tellier, Regional Brand Manager Blancpain of South-East Asia, highlighting the close links between the brand and the underwater world over the past 65 years. Also present for the occasion, Mr. Marc Junod, Vice President & Head of Sales at Blancpain, introduced attendees to the brand's long-standing commitment in favor of the exploration and protection of the oceans.

In a setting surrounded by the sea, guests had then the opportunity to immerse themselves into an exhibition presenting the numerous oceanographic initiatives and partnerships supported by the brand in this domain – reunited under the Blancpain Ocean Commitment label – alongside a large selection of the Manufacture's diving watches, all part of the iconic Fifty Fathoms collection.

Later on in the evening, Mr. Imran Ahmad, underwater photographer and partner of Blancpain, captivated the audience by sharing details of his latest discoveries at the Great Wall of China during his most recent diving project.
