During the 3rd step of the Blancpain Endurance Series 2012 in Le Castellet (France), the show was not happening only on the track. The Blancpain VIP village was filled with prestigious guests, in a friendly atmosphere. While Marc A. Hayek and Peter Kox were defending their position among a fied of 60 motivated teams in the famous deep blue turns of the Paul Ricard track, well-known personalities showed up in the Village.

A highlight of the weekend was the visit of the diving legend Robert “Bob” Maloubier. Certainly accustomed to a whole different kind of deep blue environment, the co-founder of the French Navy’s Combat Diver elite unit (1952) showed everyone his bravery by experiencing a fast and furious Blancpain VIP lap.

The diving community was also represented by the marine biologist and deep diver, Laurent Ballesta, who seemed pleased to stop by and discover the world of motorsport.
