In just three years of involvement in motor sport, Blancpain has unremittingly strengthened its presence in this compelling activity.
Partner of Lamborghini and title sponsor of the “Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo” since 2009; official timekeeper of the FIA GT1 world championship since 2010 – in 2011 Blancpain is taking on two important new commitments with the launch of the “Blancpain Endurance Series” and its participation as official partner in the “ADAC GT Masters” championship.
Powerfully symbolising our active commitment, Marc A. Hayek, Chairman and CEO of Blancpain, is taking part in both these championships as a driver in the Reiter Engineering Team, following his participation in 2009 and 2010 in the “Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo”.
Blancpain Endurance Series
Blancpain is proud to be the title sponsor and exclusive timekeeper of this new European championship dedicated to classes GT3 and GT4, organised by the SRO Motorsports Group. The “Blancpain Endurance Series” centres on the Spa “Total 24 Hours”. Four other three-hour races take place on different circuits on Europe. The “Blancpain Endurance Series”, for multiple brands, brings together such iconic names in automobile engineering as Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Corvette, Dodge, Ferrari, Ford, Ginetta, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, MacLaren, Mercedes, Nissan and Porsche. With two changes of driver, professional teams and gentlemen drivers, and a three-stage qualification system inspired by Formula 1, the “Blancpain Endurance Series” provides drivers with a friendly, professional atmosphere for enthralling races.
FIA GT1 World Championship
Exclusive official timekeeper for the FIA GT1 world championships since 2010, Blancpain underlines its place at the highest level of world motor racing through this prestigious partnership. The most renowned car brands, such as Aston Martin, Corvette, Ford, Lamborghini, Maserati and Nissan, compete on ten circuits in three continents. In the framework of this championship, Blancpain is also partnering the Swiss Racing Team for the 2011 season.
A Prestigious Partnership with Lamborghini
The partnership between Blancpain and Lamborghini, the legendary builder of sports cars, celebrates the exclusive technical and aesthetic prowess of these two Manufactures, both at the pinnacle of their art, marrying tradition and innovation.
The two brands move in different circles, but are driven by a common passion for innovation and excellence. Just like our master-watchmakers, Lamborghini's engineers are in constant pursuit of perfection.
Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo
The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo is the embodiment of the partnership between the two brands. This championship consists of six meetings spread out over the year. It is the world’s fastest single-brand cup. Marc A. Hayek, Chairman and CEO of Blancpain, has himself competed in the first two seasons of this competition.
A Lamborghini Blancpain Limited Edition
Lamborghini and Blancpain have pooled their respective skills to create the Lamborghini Gallardo Blancpain Limited Edition. Based on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 production model, it is equipped with “Skoripus” black aluminium rims and yellow brake callipers furnished with ceramic carbon discs. The carbon-fibre elements perfectly match the opaque black of the vehicle. The passenger compartment in alcantara allies comfort with sporting characteristics. Made in a limited edition, this lightened, boosted version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It has a top speed of 320 km/h.
ADAC GT Masters
Since 2007, the ADAC GT Masters has won over motor sport fans. Blancpain is proud of its partnership with this thrilling championship, which is based in Germany but also includes races elsewhere in Europe. Alpina-BMW, Ascari, Aston Martin, Audi, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford GT, Lamborghini and Porsche: the most renowned manufacturers all take part. It is a PRO-AM championship, in which each car is shared between a professional driver and an amateur, each event consisting of two 60-minute races. The two pilots thus share the work, during the qualification laps as well as in the races proper. In this way, the starting grid is composed of ambitious amateurs, former Formula 1 drivers, DTM drivers and celebrities. Through this partnership, Blancpain strengthens its presence in the European motor-racing world and reaffirms the link that exists between watchmaking and automobile mechanical engineering.

A Timepiece to Celebrate Blancpain’s Commitments
To celebrate our various commitments in motor sport, we have developed the L-evolution “Super Trofeo” Flyback Chronograph. [2] This automatic model, equipped with the calibre F185 and made in a limited edition of 600 watches, has a titanium case, while its dial and horns are made of carbon-fibre and its strap of alcantara. The use of these innovative materials is a clever reference to the world of the automobile while still meeting Blancpain’s strict requirements governing the production of its watches.
