On the day, Blancpain invited its guests to a luncheon at the Mandarin Room of the Hotel Lisboa with an unobstructed view of the Lisboa Bend, one of the most dangerous and exciting curves of the Guia Circuit. The event was kicked off with a welcoming speech by Mr. Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini and was followed by presentations of the Super Trofeo Series and the latest Blancpain collections launched at BASELWORLD 2013 by Mr. Cristiano Inverni, Coordinator of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series and Mr. Alain Delamuraz, Vice President Head of Marketing of Blancpain respectively. At BASELWORLD 2013, Blancpain introduced three new members to its L-evolution R collection, a family that perfectly blends impeccable Swiss watchmaking with the essence of motorsports: The dark carbon fibre background of the L-evolution R Grande Date provides great contrast and brilliant readability to the large date display at 6 o’clock. The L-evolution R Flyback Chronograph Grande Date combines a carbon fibre dial, a large date display and a chronograph in a satin-brushed steel case that provides accurate timing for quick-paced motorsports. An 88-piece limited edition is also available, endowed with a carbon fibre bezel and eye-catching orange tones on the outer rings of the chronograph subdials as well as the stitching on its Alcantara strap.
