Japan’s Keita Sawa won his second Macau GT Cup, with a dominant lights-to-flag victory on the 6.2km Guia Circuit. Sawa, driving a Lamborghini LP560 GT3 of team LKM-SPS sponsored by Blancpain, took the chequered flag almost 15 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Marchy Lee of Hong Kong driving an Audi R8 LMS GT3. Briton Danny Watts, in an Audi R8 GT3, finished third. Team title for team LKM-SPS sponsored by Blancpain

The 10-lap race started under the Safety Car and when racing got underway on Lap 3, Sawa got off to a perfect start and immediately began building a gap from Lee and Watts.
“I’m feeling emotional right now,” Sawa said after the race. “I came into this race feeling a lot of pressure, pressure I think that I put on myself. For me having a Safety Car start was good because there was no need to control the pace. On the first lap without the Safety Car I pushed and attacked to the maximum as if I was in qualifying and then after two or three laps, I could see Marchy in the distance and I backed off.”

Samson Chan of Hong Kong was fourth in the Ginetta G50Z GT3, ahead of Tunku Hammam of Malaysia in a Lamborghini.
