Gianluca Genoni, multiple world freediving champion, began the most specific phase of his depth dive training in preparation for the depth freediving record attempt he will make next Thursday, 27th September in the Golfo del Tigullio, Italy.

Having set 16 world records in the more traditional freediving categories, this year Gianluca is attempting to go even further and beat the depth of 152 m which he reached on 2nd October 2010 in Zoagli, Italy. During his dive he will be using a special electric propeller, the Suex Xk1 and wearing the Blancpain 500 Fathoms, a watch which guarantees ultimate precision and visibility even in the darkest depths.
