The prestigious Merdeka Malaysia Endurance Race was once again held at the F1 Circuit in Sepang, Kuala Lumpur, from the 5th to the 8th of August 2010. Racing enthusiasts were treated to the roars of the supercars’ turbocharged engines, while they attempt to survive the grueling qualifiers and vie for a podium finish on the 8th of August.

Blancpain, Lamborghini, and Reiter Engineering were out in force, in support of the Gallardo LP560s participating in the event. At the stroke of midnight of Sunday, 8th of August’10, the motorized beasts, pulsating with 500+ horsepower under their respective hoods, sprung to life at the drop of the chequered flag and flashed down the track over the next 12 hours.

The 3 drivers of the Blancpain-branded LP560, namely Tunku Hamman, Mr. Peter Kox, and Mr. Christopher Haase, ran the race to perfection, and came in first for the GT3 Asia-endorsed event.

Blancpain organized an exclusive party at the paddock on the 6th of August, during the qualifiers, for our distinguished guests from Singapore and Malaysia. Our guests were treated to an exclusive tour of the pit, and were shown the nuances of the Gallardo LP560 by representatives from Reiter Engineering, and viewed this mechanical marvel up close and personal.

Marvels of the horological kind were present, as the guests mingled amidst the Blancpain timepieces on display. Blancpain’s Super Trofeo Flyback Chronograph, naturally, garnered admiring looks from the gathered crowds.
