A creation of traditional watchmaking adapted to the conditions of life on the move. This complication, designed for frequent travellers, displays two time zones on the same dial.

Blancpain's GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) models are designed for travelling the world in comfort. They are distinguished by having GMT or Timezone in their names and display two chosen time zones and the date.

Some of Blancpain's GMT models possess an extra hand showing the reference time on a 24-hour scale. Others employ a 12-hour counter in the form of a small dial. Where this is the solution adopted, an extra stylised window shows whether it is day or night.

Blancpain has just introduced (in early 2011) two models displaying half-time zones to satisfy the needs of travellers in parts of the world that use half-hour time-zone shifts (India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Southern Australia and the Northern Territories, Newfoundland and South-East Labrador in Canada, Afghanistan, Iran, Venezuela, the Marquesas, Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island, the Cocos Islands).
