Minute repeater

The ultimate masterpiece, capable of repeating the hours, a marvel that lets you hear the time rather than see it...

In 1988, Blancpain introduced one of the most complex movements and smallest minute repeaters ever produced. This exceptional movement - the slimmest in the world - made Blancpain a specialist in the crafting of such masterpieces.

Mechanical memory

A complex mechanical memory allows this ingenious timepiece to strike on demand the hours, quarter-hours and minutes.

Mechanical symphony

An owner who activates the repeating mechanism at 1:47 will hear 1 "ding", for one o'clock, then 3 different "ding-dongs" for each of the quarter-hours, and 2 short "dings" for the 2 additional minutes.

Sounds of time

There are three different sounds that let you know the hours, quarter-hours, and minutes. Specifically, two different timbres are used, one low and one high.

Doubling of the movement's functions

It takes the watch about a minute to ring the hour, quarter-hours, and minutes, and meanwhile time keeps on going...
