Nürburgring | Sensational end for the 2013 season
After a 2013 season filled with suspense and drama, the final races of the Blancpain Endurance Series and Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo were held this weekend at the legendary Nürburgring track in Germany. Within the space of three season, the Blancpain Endurance Series Championship has become a benchmark in the world of GT racing, and has once again demonstrated its growing popularity with more than fifty cars entered for the final challenge in Germany.
The "Blancpain 1000 " ( a 1,000km/6 hours max. race on a celebrated race track) crowned the 2013 champions.
It was a frantic finale to the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series which played out in thrilling style. HTP Motorsport’s Maximilian Buhk (DEU) is the new Pro Cup title holder as he finished the season in style with a maximum 33 point score to seal the drivers championship.
The Belgian Marc VDS Racing Team sealed the Pro Cup teams championship by finishing in second place to the HTP Mercedes. It was a sensational end to the race as Buhk hunted down Maxime Martin to overtake him and confirm the title.
The 2013 Champions
Enjoying a double title success was the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN squad who took the teams championship trophy and the drivers series for Lucas Ordonez, the original GT Academy ‘gamer to racer’ graduate.
With respect to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo final, the weekend saw Andrea Amici triumph in the PRO-AM category, to the detriment of Cédric Leimer, the man who entered this weekend as the series leader.
In the amateur category, Leimer's teammate Laurent Jenny won the title after securing an unbeatable advantage by the end of first race on Saturday. The AutoVitesse Garage R. Affolter team won the title of overall 2013 champions.

A large selection of activities were offered to the guests of the Le Brassus Factory during this last Blancpain Race of the 2013 season. Invited to be at the heart of the experience, VIPs got to participate in the Grid Walk, visit the race offices and even discover the Nürburgring track first hand, by enjoying VIP Laps in Lamborghini cars.
